 First and Windsor Pond

 A 6.1 ha (15 acres) site located at the southwest corner of First Street and Windsor Road at the south edge of the UIUC campus. This area was highly disturbed in the 1980s when a detention basin or pond was constructed on-site. The primary habitat is non-native grassland, old-field, and successional habitat with scattered trees and shrubs. Vehicle access along south edge. Parking area near northeast corner. Available for manipulative studies.

Location: NE 1/4 of NE 1/4 of section 25 Champaign Township. Just SW of campus area being in the SW corner of the intersection of Windsor Road and First Street. Abuts the east line of the Solar Farm site.
