Illinois Natural History Survey - University of Illinois

How INHS Works

The Illinois Natural History Survey is a Division of the Prairie Research Institute at the University of Illinois. Our organization's administrative services are divided into three "Directorates": Administration, Facilities, and Sponsored Research Programs. Our scientific staff is led by a Senior Management Team (SMT), comprised of faculty-level scientists that lead major research teams in a variety of disciplines. Twelve committees, comprised of INHS staff, work to formulate plans and recommendations to the Director in each Committee's area of expertise.
